MEMORIALS

Pastor Noel Shanko passed away on Tuesday, August 4. (Pre-deceased by wife, Patricia) There will be a Memorial Service on Sabbath, September 19, at 3:30 p.m. at Forest Lake Church.

Barbara Weiss passed away on Thursday, August 6. There will be a Memorial Service on Sabbath, September 26, in the Forest Lake Church Grace & Truth SS room at 4 p.m.

Beverly Walden (Wife of Pastor Relious Walden and mother of Lisa Butler) passed away on Tuesday, August 25 . Beverly worked at Gift & Thrift and was also Secretary in the FLC Office at one time. There will be a Memorial Service at the Florida Living Church on Sabbath, October 17, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Adventist World Radio (no flowers at the service please).

Patricia "Pat" M. Silver, mother of Debra Silver Stama and David Silver, passed away July 14. She is former music faculty at Southern Adventist University, Andrews University, Forest Lake Academy, Shenandoah Valley Academy, and Madison College. A Memorial Service and Tribute Brass Ensemble Concert will be held September 27 at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. The 40-member Tribute Brass Ensemble comprised of her former students will perform a concert at 12:30pm. The Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the graveside service to follow.

Phylis Samuels (mother of Steve Samuels) passed away on Wednesday, September 2. Phylis was a member of Prayers and Squares for many years. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 4, at 4 p.m. at FLC.

Steve Welch, long-time PE Coach at FLEC, passed away on Sunday, August 16. There will be a Memorial Service at FLC on Sunday, November 8, at 4 p.m.
